Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted at
The Broke and the Bookish.
Here are the top ten books I feel as though everyone has read but me (including series):
- Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
- Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll
- The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
- Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson
- The Princess Bride by William Goldman
- The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis
- Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma.
I don't know what you usually read (first time here, followed the link on Mr Linky), but your #8 is one of the funniest books ever. The movie, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for making me feel not alone in the HP delinquency. I feel like a bit of a freak! I just read P&P two summers ago and LOVED IT. Bump that one up. Also, The Hunger Games...it's awesome! And I loved Rebecca and the author wrote another book called My Cousin Rachel that I loved equally as much.
ReplyDeleteHere's my top ten books that I feel like everyone has read if you feel like moseying on over to my blog!
I haven't read Forbidden, either. I second the comment about Princess Bride being a great story - and great movie!
ReplyDeleteI hear mixed things about the Princess Bride - that lovers of the movie may be disappointed with the book (which is unusual since it's often the other way around). I read The Girls with the Dragon Tattoo but don't feel compelled to read the rest. I didn't think it was THAT great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, everyone!
ReplyDeleteI saw The Princess Bride film, but haven't read the book. I really enjoyed the film, so I will try to get to the book some day.
I have read 4 of your 10. Most of the others are on my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteWe have two books in common for this week's list--otherwise some of your not-reads are among my favorite re-reads!
ReplyDelete1, 2, 4, 5, 9 and 10...ALL AMAZING! Forbidden nearly made me cry though..great list!
ReplyDeleteWow, a list where I have actually read some of the books! Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia and Hunger Games are favorites of mine. I have Pride and Prejudice, Rebecca, Alice in Wonderland, and The Princess Bride on my TBR list.
