Booking Through Thursday – Fluff

 btt button

You’ve just had a long, hard, exhausting day, and all you want to do is curl up with something light, fun, easy, fluffy, distracting, and entertaining.

What book do you pick up?

If I enjoy the book I am reading at the time, I pick up that one. If not, then I go for a reread of one of my favourite books, or just favourite parts of those, which are The Lord of the Rings and The Twilight Saga. It always makes me feel better and relax when I read something familiar, it is so comforting to read about the things I already know and enjoy.

  1. I agree, familiar reads are best in times of stress.

  3. Familiar is good as well if I am looking to de-stress. I would most likely pick up a love story though - maybe a Walk to Remember, or the Time Traveler's Wife.

  4. I think that I may be the only person who hasn't read any of the Twilight Series. I keep saying that I will get to it.

  8. Not a fan of Twilight but a couple of years ago The Lord of the Rings would have definitely been my answer!

  9. I can read The Twilight series over and over again, I think I have over 15 times in the last 4 years or so.

  10. I reread a lot as well. For those that read Twilight, does that include Midnight Sun or Bree?

  11. If I'm not happy with my current read to distract me, I too pick up a already read novel that I already know will distract me and keep my mind busy with something I know is familiar.
    Great post!
